Welcome to Hub Wildlings
Hub Wildlings is an all-day drop-off session in the woods, where children are free to choose their own adventure. As well as all manner of forest fun, children who wish to do so, can be gently supported in building a personal portfolio of AQA Unit Award Scheme certificates, with opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge thoughtfully woven into the natural flow of the day. At Wildlings, children's innate curiosity can thrive, held by a caring team of engaged and responsive facilitators, and alongside encouraging peers and friends.
Set in the beautiful forest of Coed Llwynonn, children have the freedom to explore learning and personal well-being at their own pace and in their own way. We believe that being immersed in the natural world helps us to thrive as whole beings - deepening our connection with ourselves, each other, and the wild world that holds us all. This allows a sense of wonder to bloom, imagination to soar, and a true sense of self to take root.
"The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled"
Moments of Joy & Discovery
Every day brings new possibilities, gentle learning, and the kind of joy that comes from being truly free to explore and create. Although we plan activities to feed the children's curiosity, we never know where a day will take us. Each person at Wildlings co-contributes to the making of it being a journey of discovery and the day zooms by!

"The absorption of the environment is an intellectual activity. It is a psychic necessity that the child explores the environment; it satisfies his spirit. After he has had the satisfaction of observing one thing that interests him, he goes on until he is attracted by something else. In this way the child can walk for miles."
What's our motivation?
Founded by home educators who want to see education returned to individuals, families, and communities - and back out into the natural world - we know that prioritising children's well-being is essential. Children simply cannot learn effectively when they are persistently stressed.
At Wildlings, we value and trust each child's autonomy. We support children in learning to identify, communicate, and respond to their own feelings and needs, while also understanding and appreciating the needs of others.
Play is paramount, consent is key, and allowing time to self-regulate - a non-negotiable. Throughout the day we take time to check in with how each individual is doing as a whole person, and make adjustments as needed.
As children learn to trust that they are safe to express their true selves, they grow in confidence, resilience, and their intrinsic motivation to learn can flourish.
"Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself."
